"I buried men here. You expect me to retreat? You think they would want me to retreat?
I'm going to stay, and I'm going to fight, and you can fire me when you bring in reinforcements"
-Unknown WWI US Army officer on the radio with superiors, ordering him to pull back.

IN PROGRESS

Through life you meet all kinds of people. A remarkable few influence your life in such a way, that they force a change in you. It is hard to let go of someone that is dear to you, that you have been through a lot with. Adversity breeds a friendship that is stronger than life itself. Soldiers walk the battlefield knowing that they fight for each other. So should friends, and family on the battlefield of life.
Sometimes, there comes a time to say goodbye, it's a different kind of fight, in many times harder than the physical fight. But it must be fought nonetheless. It's difficult to see the world keep turning. But as my bud JJ used to say "life goes on". They live on in our hearts and minds.
